ACP's Green Routes Project Team visited Beijing during the week of June 26, to perform the site visits associated with ACP's Civil Aviation Sustainability Green Routes Initiative. The team had very productive site visits to North ATMB, Air China, Hainan Airlines and Beijing Capital International Airport. The Chinese side was pleased to meet our US colleagues from FAA, Landrum & Brown, Honeywell, IMSG, American Airlines, and United Airlines.

The Initiative, partially funded from a USTDA Grant, will train Chinese aviation officials, and offer guidance on the development of national, regional, and local sustainability  programs that utilize air traffic management, airport and airline capabilities as well as to set goals for system improvement.

Up-coming Green Routes activities include:

  1. China Partners visiting US – Oct 10-13 (start in ORD, then to SFO)
  2. Next project meeting / technology workshop--Nov 2-3 in Beijing
