ACP's Airport Management Training Program (AMOETP)

AMOETP First US-based Training was Held in July 14-27, 2019


From July 14-27, The Boeing Company and ACP held their 1st AMOETP US-based training session in Seattle and Los Angeles. The 17 students were from CAAC HQ, CAAC Regional Offices and Chinese large airports.

The training is being offered to VP and above level officials from China’s 37 airports that have an annual passenger volume over 10 million. This is a two-year pilot program that consists of six training sessions. 3 sessions in China, and three in the US.  The US sessions are sponsored and arranged by The Boeing Company.

Instructors form The Boeing Company, Cranfield University, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Los Angeles World Airports, Global Innovation Exchange (GIX) of Washington University, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Paine Field delivered the two-week program.

During the closing graduation ceremony, the delegates praised the program for the excellent case study content, and the opportunity to learn from the many talented professional and experienced instructors, and US airport operators.  The students plan to apply what they’ve learned to their current and future work. The class representatives were very energetic and engaged throughout the full two-week session.  This proved to be a unique opportunity for the students to come together as a class and to visit the United States, and to learn from one another.

For more than a decade, ACP provided signature training programs like EMDT and ATMET.  AMOETP is the first ACP program specifically tailored for airport senior management. We remain thankful to the Boeing Company for their generous sponsorship, and USG advisors—USTDA, FAA and TSA, and CAAC for their important support.

The first two-week training session in China will begin the week of August 5 in Shenzhen.
